I do not mean to be a skeptic. I heard the TDFX call. I was not sure what they meant. I thought they said they had 3 of their top 5 OEM wins to announce. Does that mean those top three are top OEMS or just TDFX's top OEM wins? For the moment I will assume they are significant top OEMS. Now, if you listen to NVDA and TDFX calls, they both are consistent in stating that TDFX was given mid-range wins graphics performance wins and not top graphics wins. Now how do you reconcile this with the fact that it was supposedly STB who had all of these wonderful OEM relationships (even NVDA states that STB was great with OEMS). Well, NVDA's answer is that the OEM first selects the silicon then the board maker.
