Mr. Madhur,

the account management window does not give you an accurate amount. when I called MBT, they said it had something to do with your beginning (day) cash available, but that amount is not correct. The "value of positions (overnight)" is grossly misrepresentative by more than double the amount my position is worth. I was told that I had to add my "beginning excess equity", with "intraday credit" to bet an approximate amount, but the beginning excess equity is only supposed to be tabulated from the beginning of the day, and does not track it real time during the trading day. No matter what numbers you add together, you cannot possibly come up with an amount that represents your account. Even if I were to add BEE with intra day credit, or "value of positions overnight", I still do not get an amount that is even close to the true value of my holdings, and cash. I had to call MBT just to find out what my cash on hand was. that is one F----d up way to provide account management. A trader needs to see on his order window, all the pertinent info he needs to place a trade without getting into margin. Or do you suppose that this is an unorthodoxed way for MBT to let clients trade on margin without letting them be fully aware that they are doing so?
Yes, I might be able to get a free trial of DT-RIM, but I really don't feel that I should have to pay for (after the trial period is over) an aftermarket software just to keep track of of my account in a manner that is easilly understandable.
