rudedog...thanks

just feel dell has to do more, not enamored by thoughts of free pc's and dell isp....sort of cheapens things...my broker is ex unisys, his brother an exec...they have leaned down, good ceo, and i believe dell uses them and wang under contract for service...ibm is the one to watch, just heard a report that they are after data general..why do they want storage, they basically gave in to emc...following the same thought, perhaps gerstner is looking at an efficient pc maker...believe gerstner pay tied very greatly to stock price, no virtue or culture, just al dunlap mercenary...

i own dell, delighted with the earnings, its an incredible company, but i believe it may be at as grove would say, a strategic inflection point....would like for msd to be more proactive instead of reacting to the obvious...

do you think the growth of dell is a departure from the present??? tia, ed a.

p.s...see you are an f1 fan...remember the transition from 1.5turbo to 3.0 normally aspirated....two engines same year..the 3.0 introduced early, as honda did had an advantage over those introduced the following year, as in ferrari...all this to say, better to test the waters before they get hot!
