Although not usually one to give in to speculative musings, I took another look at the new Ampex corporate management page and came up with one question and some likely possibilities. See: ampex.com

The question I have is – Where is this company's executive President? There is non indicated at either executive level or at the "showcase" Internet Video Group level.

Meanwhile, down at the production studio in DC there are presently two CEO's a Chairman title and a President title. It's a good thing that these people do not have to wear uniforms. Insignia and decorations would prove to be a nightmare even for the most creative military fashion designer.

Given that the Internet Video Group will certainly dominate in revenues and recognition - both domestic and international, once Malta is completed and showcased ( projected end of 3rd calendar quarter), then Dave Gardy is positioned to step up to executive responsibilities as President and operational responsibilities as President of the Internet Video Group.

Freed of day to day TVW operational production concerns, to be assumed by Tim Swift, Dave Gardy would then be able to employ that dynamism, public personage and mission drive which Internet narrowcasting, a media invention in the making, would require.

Again, from the recent press release, those two paragraphs:

"Ampex is developing an Internet video network which will create television for the web. It will focus on producing and delivering content to targeted online audiences that is distinct from repurposed television programming for the web.

The Company is engaged in discussions to add even more Internet video production and distribution operations in major U.S. and overseas cities through strategic investments and acquisitions along with a number of internal development projects. "

What I am driving at is the upcoming void of a unique public person to appear at the helm of the new Ampex.com. While Ed Bramson will certainly be credited with the fiscal and organizational genius to effect the Ampex turnaround at the executive level, for very good reasons, given the media and high tech profile, a different kind of person should be the Ampex visible one.

Now, all of this could happen within the next eight months. Malta in September and LA and NY Ampex Net production studios in mid winter. From there forward, but with profits, BCST like?

If Ampex is planning an IPO they will probably start by filling an official SEC document requesting interest in the IPO. This document is sent to the Investment Bankers and Broker's. I don't think this is a form reported on the SEC site. If so it may cause institution buying without any actual news reports. It may cause our stock to trend up with out that herky jerky spiking we have become accustomed to. Until the brokers analyist's start covering it.

Just want you TA types to be aware of this and we will see if trend analysis starts to become more important than stoicastic's.
