MB, I believe the time frame was last year. I suspect that a repeat performance will be on next January, particularly with the DOW stocks shooting for the stars this year. Look, 80%+ funds lagging the index automatically means tht 20%- funds beat the index, so what is you point in saying that technology and health care funds probably outperformed the index? I am talking reality here in the sense most ordinary people invest - via whatever funds their employer offers in their 401K plan - are you recommending hedge funds to them? I wonder who is fantasizing here! -BGR.
