Is the glass half empty or half full? AMAT is #1 contender for puts on Burke's thread. In a nutshell, DRAM is waaaaay below $6....try $5.20! AMATY had 5% decline YOY in earnings. Not blowout considering AMAT id 60% higher than year ago price. AMAT future is all based on one hope....turnaround in pc industry. Jury is still out. DELL is cinsidering going the way of enchilada.com....FREE pc's! If DELL is going to give 'em away(as was predicted 6 months ago by tech analyst Earlie on MB's thread---and he was scoffed at), then how can ramp up continue in PC land?

Comparison with NEM is easy. Both are commodity plays. AMAT makes "mining equipment". -g- If they have to give pc's away, how can the producers pay AMAT to upgrade?
