Earl, If you are an active online investor, then you probably owe it to yourself to consider a direct-access platform. While Gomez, Barrons et al. have rated browser-based brokmers they haven't gone so far as to look at direct access platforms. Really, nobody has, making it very difficult to discern who would best meet your needs. I do know that Forbes is coming out with a piece in a little over a week that looks at all the major direct access platforms -- cyber, real tick, executioner, tradecast and watcher. I'll try to come back to this thread and post it. The other thing I might suggest is to review the threads of the individual brokers.
