Scumbria, Re: I'm surprised that you would base financial decisions on data reported by a high school student

At least you know he is a high school kid. For most of those
things I read about K7 on this and the AMD thread, I don't even
know if the poster is a computer program or real person.

SCUMbria - Re: "I'm surprised that you would base financial decisions on data reported by a high school student."

He has been a pretty good source of info in the past.

Remember his Kmart 63 tests ?

That showed that without the L3 cache, the Kmart 63 was slower than most Intel's products?

And even with the L3 cache, the Kmart 63 was slower than a Celeron at GAMES?

Anand is 1000000% more credible than the YUK Wretchister which you adore so much.

<I'm surprised that you would base financial decisions on data reported by a high school student.>

Given that there are many, many people out there hoping that the K7 will outperform the Pentium III by a wide margin, I would guess that this high school student must be swamped by a whole pile of flame mail after suggesting that the K7 is only as fast as a Pentium III.

Or maybe he's trying to do to the K7 what the movie critics were trying to do with The Phantom Menace and downplay the hype.
