Since we are having a quiet time on the thread, a little lesson in telephone usage for the Caller ID Challenged:

to leave my number on the caller ID and clear his out

The purpose of Caller ID is so that the owner can determine who has called during the day. This magical service stores ALL the numbers until the owner of said Caller ID clears the numbers. Said Caller ID was invented for this purpose. Any additional calls made after the FIRST call are stored. None are "cleared" by additional calls. The owner of said Caller ID is the only one able to clear the numbers. If a number is cleared simply by making another call, there really wouldn't be much of a market for Caller ID.

Just thought I'd clear that up for those of you who are interested in ordering Caller ID for their telephones. It truly is magical. ALL the callers' numbers are stored so you know who called and it is a great screening device, just in case you don't want to take a call or return a call. It is capable of storing many numbers, not just the last. So please...future Caller ID owners...do not be deterred by that little quote above. It doesn't work that way. Duh!

colleenb you say this...

"So, now that this has been cleared up"

Yet you continue it right after.

I'm willing to forgive and forget previous insults colleenb, you should try too.
