Could THQ be involved?

Codemasters Coming Stateside

Industry: UK-based Codemasters is about to
announce a US publishing deal, as well as opening
an American office. The company famed for the
Micro Machines series is to spearhead its US
marketing attack with No Fear Mountain Biking for
PC and PlayStation and Prince Naseem Boxing for
Sony's machine. "The announcement will come
within the next two weeks regarding the US
publisher," said Richard Eddy, director of Rocket
Media, the company's UK PR company. "We
wanted to wait till we had a really strong lineup
before we opened up the office in the US."

Considering that THQ already seems to have a Micro Machines deal with them, maybe they'll be the US publisher... Just my speculation.

Limits To Involvement In Dolphin?

Industry: It has been revealed by trade paper Asia
Biztech that Nintendo will only allow three other
companies to develop software for its esoterically
powerful next generation console, Dolphin. The
company apparently intends to develop most of the
games in house with some work going to second
party developers. According to the publication, the
gaming giant will actually bar companies outside the
three partners from joining its development program.

This could be very significant going forward, especially if THQ either is or isn't one of the three comapanies. It would be a coup if they were, but could hurt if they were not. Other then EA, what company has had more success on the N64 then THQ?
