JAC: There is a ring to the metaphor. If LE can just get focused on ORCL and get his eyes off the white whale MSFT, ORCL would be the better for it. He has to move ahead rather than hoping MSFT will falter. In sailing terms he should be looking for the lift instead of waiting for the rest of the fleet to get headed. If he reads this (and who knows - maybe they do) he might get the message couched in these sailing terms.
