Actually I think that Amazon, the company, has a great future ahead of it, as opposed to AMZN the stock. For example, I figured out this morning that rather than fill out several forms for a campus book store and have them stock and sell the texts at full price to my students, I can much more easily have the books mailed directly to the building I teach in and provide them to the students at a 20% discount--or maybe 15% after mailing costs. And save them all a trip to the bookstore, too. Total savings to the students in one class could run to several hundred dollars. I hate to own puts on such a wonderful company. I'd rather be putting something like a record company specializing in punk rock.
