COVD also releasing lockup early. It's down about 5. MKTW and TSCM and IVIL are weak. It seems like the market is not favoring net stocks that don't sell anything. The auction sites still seem to be in favor, at least for now.
I shorted MKTW at 72 and took profit at 56, the old low. This is one of my very few profitable short internet trades. Now I'm waiting for the break in PCLN and EBAY. How much more than $25 billion can they be worth?

Don, the $2 billion (AMZN) is a shelf registration. Could be common, preferred, straight debt, converts, warrants or just about any combination. Or, they may issue nothing, but for some strange reason, I doubt that. ;-)

What I'd like to know is what they could possibly do with another $2 billion. They've raise what, something over $1.5 billion over the last year? Have any of their acquisitions been cash deals? Did they decide to go ahead and raise enough, while they still can, to last them until breakeven in ... when is it now?... 2010?
