It is a downstream deal, sort of like the legal pyramid scheme to which you refer. But why own the downstream entities when you can go for the one at the top?

Because MSGI is still small, more agile. Just like why own Fidelity Agrressive Growth as compared to owning Fidelity Magellan? CMGI has appreciated much more than MSGI, the latter is still at the ground floor. So I own both.

With Best Regards

Paul

Mark Peterson CPA - You inquired "why own the downstream entities when you can go for the one at the top?" Answer: Because since Feb. 1, 1999, MSGI has appreciated some 540% compared to CMGI's 85% return during the same period. Do you follow?
