Jubimer, no argument, the company only reorganized itself as a "holding Company" to increase flexibility of financing (among other things). I, for one read this, flexibility of IPO in some of the new acquisitions. I believe that most other literates read the same. We are following a similar story with PROG, which I believe most market participants understand the open option of IPO'ing internet properties.

Jubimer,

>> Ampex has never said they would be taking TvontheWeb public in an IPO.<<

I have been thinking about this issue as well and after listening to Michael Bloomberg discuss why he doesn't go public (CSPAN at Stern Business School), I am wondering why Ampex should do that with TV onthe WEB?

If financing is not an issue at this time, there seems to be no advantage to that whatsoever. I for one hope that Ampex follows a scenario outlined by M. Olds some time back. Namely, integrating these properties and technologies into WEB video stations. The pieces are all there: Storage Technology (Micronet and Ampex), Image Processing Expertise (Ampex), Hosting and Service (Reiter), Content and deliver (AETV & TV onthe WEB).

What advantage would it be (in a strategic sense) to do any IPO's unless there is a real fiscal reason?
