Donald Over the years it has changed and now they say Taipei and then Toronto

I can't speak to Taipei but Vancouver BC has it all over Toronto, in more ways than just food, but the asian cuisine here is top notch.

shui mai? I won't even touch that one! Sorta sounds like feng shui to me. when my wife said that we couldn't plant the rose bushes too close to the house because of the thorns, i said "ENOUGH!" <gg>

Donald,

If you get back to the Bay Area, the best dim sum is Jade Villa in Oakland. Not as Ritzy as Yank Sing, which caters more to American tastes (maybe best dim sum outside HK for Westerners' tastes), but better food and better prices. It's on the corner of Broadway and 12th in downtown Oakland.

BTW, the best Chinese food in any city is NOT in a restaurant -- it's home cooked by people like my wife...
