I'm taking out some frustrations on ABOV because I violated a couple of my trading rules. When a stock is suppose to go up, and it doesn't sell! (Never made a split run, upgrades failed to move it, etc..) The signs were there, and still I held. Had a profit, but didn't take it. Was afraid of missing the "homerun". In the long run, I think one can do better hitting singles consistently than waiting for the big blast. The same works in inverse if you're short: if a stock is suppose to go down and it doesn', cover! I usually give a stock two days to respond to this criteria. Stock is looking for a bottom. Hopefully we'll remain range bound 34-38. Hate to see it break 34. x
