It is called Insurance on future technologies. Both MSFT and INTC have made many lousy investments in the past; but to them investment is not their main emphasis; it is like the premium you pay to have a peace of mind. HLTH's valuation is a farce. It's valuation is beyond human comprehension....

I never said HLTH doesn't have a future because it does. But the growth is going to be slow and hard to achieve. It isn't as rosy as it is pictured in the PRs. Numbers speak much better. MSFT invests money because it wants to have everything covered, in case. Even Bill Gates will be laughing at the valuation of HLTH. Give him a call and ask him... :-) If mine is BS, I would like to hear some intelligent information from you (other than.. "Healthcare is a trillion dollar market", "this is next AOL", "Internet is changing the world", "we will do surgeries over the net", and etc.). Please enlighten me with the following if you can: (1) What makes you think Healtheon will be successful with its plan of VHN? Don't say MSFT invested money, so I will. (2) Why is Healtheon unable to grow as fast as it planned in the Internet segments of their business? (3) What might be the problems Healtheon facing in building the VHNs? (4) Why did go to IPO at $8 only four months ago? Why not at $24? They could have raised 3 times as much money? (5) I am ordinary person. How will I use Healtheons portal? How will it be useful to Healtheon in generating revenues? What if I were a physician? a hospital? a HMO? Thanks.
