Oliver, $1 a minute [retail] is total Dullsville. It won't even be reported in a mainstream media other than 2 column inches. Inches! Shows how conservative most people are. 50c per minute would be interesting. 20c per minute would set things alight. 10c per minute would be a real news event!

Limited offer! Last one in misses out! Two years at 5c per minute! 30,000 handsets only!

That would get things moving. With an average age of 65, I doubt that the marketing mayhem concept [which is what drives The Web] would sit well with Globalstar management. It's called Feral Marketing. Most of those MBAs wouldn't even have heard of it, which shows how little they know. It's not madness. It's more like a highly efficient all out war. It has to be highly intelligent, but in a fractalized way rather than via cumbersome Business Plans which are cast in concrete.

I can hardly believe that Globalstar is still working from a business plan written 6 years ago. It's admirable in a way that plans have remained firm, but there is a fine line between determined and successful and stolid and dead from the neck up. Iridium held the line! They were not going to be flummoxed by any changes to their business model.

There is good indication that the business plan should be modified for a little while.

Feral Marketing!
