So Frank, base on your strategy, if Roger Clemens or Pedro Martinez has a bad game, you would ship their asses off to some other team and call up your AAA kid to be your ace, right? You don't care what they did during the past 5-6 years, right?

Past performance do mean something, otherwise, why should the Dodgers give Kevin Brown 105M?

Frank,
Please check this chart DELL vs IBM. IBM went dow a lot whebn I stepped in and bought around 174.00 It went up and down like a yoyo from it's all time high. It was as high as $194.50 Jan 20 and from that date until April 20 it was up and down more points than DELL has been. and just a short time ago it was as high as $246.00 and today it closed at $232 7/8. This is a normal pattern. We are just not use to DELL being a blue chip. I am still posative about DELL and IBM.

< Michael was leading and implying many to believe that the results were going to be sensational>

I hear you brother! When Micheal was on the TV a few weeks ago He said analysts might be 'Overjoyed' or 'just happy' with the results!
And Merideth last quarter with that "The fun isn't over for DELL shareholders" crap!
I have to get my head examined for listening to that nonsense.

I am taking a bath with this dog. I got suckered in to it although I knew I had already missed the tremendous "Run-up". I knew in my gut I had missed it.

I paid as much as 108.00 per share for this dog in January. I told myself I couldn't possibly be the last one on the train...........Big mistake!

Now Who knows!!!!!!!!!!

I will be dumping as soon as I can!

Perhaps Dell didn't do well enough to justify their current P/E, especially considering the prospect for higher interest rates over the coming year. This does not mean, however, that Dell 'sucks' or that Michael Dell doesn't deserve to be CEO any longer. I'm not sure how many people on this thread realize that no company can continue to grow at 60 percent annually forever. It's impossible. Frankly, you should be pleased with how well Dell's stock price has held up recently. If you got in at 100+, it may be at least 6-12 months before you break even. But that's the price for getting in at the peak of a buying frenzy. I think we all know Dell will be back eventually.
