Sometimes stocks move based on the power of 2, i.e., there are those with the power and will to move them. shorting against a respectable hedge fund in thinly traded stocks can be dangerous. financials don't mean much if the stock keeps moving up. it's the shorts money they want. don't care whether this company lives or dies.
