I am concerned about the limitations of the new Palm VII.
No full browsing, no full email, comments about discouraging use (via usage charges),accesibility, high initial cost etc. As a user, I want more than limited email and internet browsing limited only to palm.net content providers. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for it to be a smash, but I fear we may be set up for disappointment. Comments ?

Mang: Yes...I agree in toto. It is Claflin that is the mover behind the current strategy. He was quite a performer while at IBM....his magic wand is certainly at work within 3com. I can hardly wait when earnings come out and he (Claflin)meets with analysts' during conference call to report how he lowered incremental costs and increased sales and revenues. My numbers are indicating a strong opening tommorrow a.m. and a challenge @ 30-31/sh.; also see some profit taking but limited...appears that many are "holding" and certainly there is aggressive accumulation of shares at this level. Strong volumn and price at open will indicate that MM are coming off the sidelines and have discounted Fed bias...interest rates will not increase until late summer if at all! Housing starts have dropped considerable...this will dampen the inflation concern...unemployment will also show an increase which will slow down the economy. My educated guess is that the Fed will remain with a bias but do nothing and let the mkt do their work for them. Tech stocks will advance....
driven by "Greenie's" comments relative to technology and the global economy...money will flow out of overvalued Blue Chips and enter into the technical sector. Internuts and extreme valuations of these issues are tempting me to short...just a matter of timing...it will certainly be a major drop when it occurs. Smart money may be moving out of these issues and placing profits in undervalued companies like 3com to protect their profits and incur a greater turnover in their inventory (money). That is how I read it...could be wrong...that is always a given...but if I am correct and the numbers continue to indicate positive bias...we are going to make a lot of $$$!

Good luck,
HKirby
