Fair enough, it's hard to see a tongue in the cheek over the internet. I apologize for misreading the tenor of your post. You will never hear me claim that Steve Jobs is purer or more ethical than Bill Gates. However, we simply don't know if Steve Jobs would have pulled the crap that Gates & Co. pulled, because Jobs and Apple never got the chance. So let us properly condemn Jobs for the stuff he has pulled and leave it at that. I'm on a Mac, but I've switched freely to and from Windows, Macs and Unix in the past. You are right: Win98 is more stable than MacOS 8.5 However, when the Mac screws up, I can reboot. When Windows 98 or WinNT screws up, it can be minutes, or hours, or days before you get your system back. For my purposes, I chose the more frequent yet less time-consuming crashes.
