Hugh, IPO does involve registration of shares, but not every registration involves IPO. I do know what I am talking about. The discussion involved what happens in an IPO to percentage ownership, pre and post offering valuations; how it affects Ampex valuation etc... You are right. Ampex never stated that they would do an IPO. I pointed this out myself a number of posts ago. The discussion then moved to IF they did do an IPO, how might their majority be affected.
