For the record, my opinion that Ampex is not going to make it without some sort of major alteration in it's current position has nothing to do with whether or not it currently has enough cash and revenue to survive, all else being equal. In fact, it looks to me as though the Company could survive. . . if it is looking to be a $6 to $8 stock 3 to 5 years out. The position here is that we are in a very new world that is moving at a very rapid pace and that there are in this world entities that have huge amounts of money ready to invest in exactly the sort of “hot” new territory into which Ampex is venturing; therefore if Ampex does not move to the forefront, if not domination, of its chosen territory, and very rapidly at that, one of these very highly capitalized entities will overtake the field and leave Ampex as a struggling third rate entry, and as such it will not survive.
