1. insiders control over 50% of the stock

2. institutions own over 20%

3. no wild mood swings for idtc on its current rise. idtc is not a speculative bubble, but has moved on news not speculation and moved in ranges.

4. underlying business tied to spinoff - ntop and idtc have synergies with idtc having the network, and ntop the product.

5. idtc continues to be leader in other areas (pre-paid phone minutes).

6. idtc underlying network being voip ready, still is not fully valued and will soon be ds3

7. they also make an voip switch - csco paid 1 billion for a voip switch company. lu, t, and others also see voip as the future.

8. isp, currently they are reviving genie and we shall hopefully see the benefits of this.

9. idtc is a worldwide network, not local or regional

10. ntop spinoff will add about .10 to earnings.

for a start, both CIBC and FBR analysts upgraded their price targets for IDTC to $36 and $38, respectively. in my opinion these targets are conservative because analysts loath to be wrong on the downside. FBR further stated their estimate for NTOP's revenue in 1999 to be at $40M and 2000 at $70M, a 175% growth which will undoubtedly enhance IDTC's value because IDT owns 66.2% stake and IDT's revenues as generated by its core business should be increasing through more customers in the traditional international pre-paid calling cards and perhaps the ISP if they can turn it around. now i ask you, what is the forecast for ZDNet and ZD?

David, there are several great posts on this board over the last couple of days. If you do a word search, you can find them Bottom line is though that ZD is saddled with billions in debt. They are not going anywhere until that is resolved.
