Delayed quotes are probably the best we should expect, considering how zealously the exchanges protect rights to real-time quotes. Besides, if the price-stamping were RT, we might expect a few dozen idiots to post bogus messages just to see the real-time quote on a stock they interested in. I'd hate to see the MSFT board get clogged up with those. Yes, I'd be happy with just delayed quotes.

A real reason I want to see a price-stamp is that in researching new stocks, I typically go to three or four threads a day and read the last 150-200 postings. Probably 30 or 40 of those could give me real insights IF I knew an approximate price at the time of posting.

Someone had responded that it's the responsibility of the poster to put a price into his message. Yes, it is. But I know that I typically don't do this and neither does most every other poster to the threads (except for day-trading subjects).

Good idea. Would SI use their delayed quotes though? I should be able to make myself look like a genius every day if they do. <g>

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Then the problem begins. We would have so many "See, I told you I knew everything, and this proves it!", and we are sick of the ones we already have.
