Re: ALNK and IFCI Comparison

Thread,
So the concensus does not see the similarity between Amerilink and International Fibercom?

Amerilink, in three weeks, has done a double leading up to the Tandy buyout. I would have to think that this has to effect the way the street may be viewing IFCI.
It's IMHO.

AmeriLink Corporation -- In the cabling business, it pays to be flexible, and AmeriLink has learned to bend. Columbus, Ohio-based AmeriLink Corporation has done it all: installed new fiber-optic and coaxial cable systems, upgraded older systems, added data capability to telephone networks, installed satellite systems, and wired residences and businesses.

International FiberCom --- is expanding its product and service offerings while staying focused on telecommunications. The company installs and retrofits fiber-optic networks; designs and installs cable systems, network hardware and software, workstation peripherals, and intercom systems; deals in new and used telephone digital switching and plug-in equipment; develops fiber-optic networks for broadband video, voice, and data.

Why? reasons for todays rise run the gamut.
Tandy acquisition of Amerilink, rumor of Oppenheimer coverage, internet telephony conference in a few weeks, purchase of Blue Ridge on May 5th which gives IFCI technology partnerhsip with Microsoft & Netscape.
