edamo. you're very eloquent. what you're saying, in effect, is that it's the other butt wipes that purposefully wiped their feces on Dell. Now it's up to Dell to clean it off. MD has done it before.

Edamo, you are saying that Gerstner, et al have alter the "preception" of Dell in the minds of the Analysts and Money Managers. Somehow, I find this hard to believe. Yes, the Analyst's listen very closely to what these guys have to say. But, they also do their own research on these "preception" issues. On one hand you have Gerstner, et al saying that the pc is "dead", on the other hand IDC, Dataquest, et al are saying the market continues to grow. Further, when we say the pc is dead, are we referring to the consumer markets, enterprise markets, or both???

if dell grows at 25% annually into the middle of the next decade (minimum expectation), thereby doubling earnings in less than 3 years, why do we need worry about perceptions?
