The media wants to sell newspapers and TV time, so they feed the public what they think the public wants to hear. Good news in bull markets, bad news in bear markets. Which comes first, the news or the price change? Probably some of each - they feed on each other. Of course moving against the mob does take some guts. FWIW, a book by Martin Zweig called "Winning on Wall Street" gave me the historical background to decide to buy. Also, I always keep some cash on hand for opportunities like this. If you are 100% invested your buying power gets depreciated just when you need it the most.

Jacob,

A few weeks back, you sold your CSCO holding. I am in a similar situations with my LU. I have held it for over two years, and I am worried over its valuation. I am thinking of selling half of it. And putting the proceeds on ORCL. I would like to hear your comments. If you think that there is a large cap high tech better than ORCL, I would like to hear it also.

Thank you,

Khan
