I'm not so sure that TSMC will bleed so badly when they step into 300mm. The SC300 guys are more or less satisfied with there equipment. Not every system is stellar, but in many cases they doubled up and did end up with a workable set of tools. The word out of Infineon (I guess Moto's still trying to figure out how to come up with another billion in reserves for Iridium) is that they planned to build another 300mm starting next year.

Don't get me wrong, there will be problems, but every 200mm tool has a pareto with needed fixes doesn't it?

BTW too bad my wishful price of 48.5 didn't occur last week. Would have been a good point to spend some money!
