From the announcement:

Power consumption is also slightly higher, AMD admits, leading to battery life that is about 20 minutes shorter than the K6-II's or Intel's 366MHz Mobile Pentium II.

Well, at least AMD is forthcoming about this shortcoming. Twenty minutes isn't a killer, but it does make a difference.

Chuckie - Re: "You still think AMD will have significant losses this quarter?"

You BETCHA !

You weren't hanging around here in mid-February when AMD launched the Kmart 63 - IT STILL ISN;T WIDELY USED BY ANY PC MANUFACTURER.

Right now the Kmart 63 is looking like the Reincarnation of the K5 !

You do remember the wildly successful K5, dontcha ?

Expect AMD to announce that Compaq is using the mobile Kmart 63.

Don't expect many more announcements.
