Tony, I think we are getting to more or less an agreement here.

ONE issue we must understand is that the EX-DIVIDEND DATE... by DEFINITION... is the day after, ONE DAY AFTER, the RECORD DATE. This is not subject to discussion. Get an accounting textbook and look it up if you wish.

The issue here is that the Company (Tilton) either is incompetent and doesn't know spit from shinola when it comes to public companies and dividends, OR they are purposely using the DECLARATION DATE, the RECORD DATE the Ex-DIVIDEND DATE and the PAYMENT DATE interchangably, IMO.

In the interview this clown, Tilton, interchangeably uses Ex-Dividend date and the "day after the PAYMENT date." He also throws around "the Record Date" with apparent disregard.

I think what he might be trying to say is that any shares issued BY THE COMPANY after May 20th will not receive the TIPS dividend. If so, he should have stated that, rather than issue press releases that caused FINANCIAL DAMAGES to shareholders, IMO. IMO, CLASS ACTION is how this kind of incompetent person is removed from dangerous positions.
