VTPI was bought on Friday due solely to the press release with ADP. Most of the buyers did not even know about a spinoff of a subsidiary. If the MMs shake it Monday and you sell into it you are probably making a huge mistake. Level 2 showed the MMs buying stock from each other - an almost certain sign that some of the MMs are short. As to the spinoff/dividend My thoughts are that you must have been on "record" as a shareholder on Friday - that means to me that you would have had to buy the stock on Tuesday to be enitled to the spinoff (settlement date Friday would be the record date). Just my thoughts on the subject and I may be wrong - Please advise if you have a different opinion. Let the MMs try their best !!!!
