wily....I bought my computer from Gateway in January '99'. Last week Gateway sent me a notification that I was entitled to a free upgrade to Microsoft Office 2000 Upgrade. I sent in the coupon the next day and within a week I received the following e-mail message from Gateway:

>>We have received your upgrade coupon and entered your order
for the Microsoft Office 2000 Upgrade. Gateway will ship the
upgrade to you free of charge after Microsoft makes the upgrade
available to Gateway and after Gateway has tested and validated
the upgrade on qualifying systems. This testing is expected to
be completed during the summer of 1999.<<

I would think that the same offer would be given you from the manufacture of your computer. FYI
