You CPU zealots are missing the point. As Gilder says " a computer is only as good as it's interface to the rest of the world." Which is inherently analog. It's not the digital or the analog alone, it's the mixed signal processing, which will convert all those 1's and 0's to visual, aural, and tactile interfaces. This will be NSM's bread and butter for the next few years. RE- Foveon, "Silicon is not a substitute for film, it's a superior image plane." Ponder that for a while. What say ye Paul?

Dan, if you have the very best money can buy in lenses and you have average film, you have a match. Otherwise, the film outclasses the lens. You can thank the laws of physics, Kodax, Agfa and others for this simple truth. What may have been of interest to this thread has been consumed.
