This is simply not the truth.

I skimmed those links and assume you picked out the most relevant statement you could find. Nothing you've posted indicates you are correct aside from your own words, near as I can tell. If the reverse is true for me, so be it. The emboldened part of the quote you used to rebut me indicates you are wrong.

Film captures what a given lens throws at it as best as it can. Film technology changes and improves only because the improvements can be seen- the lens is not the limiting factor you imagine it is. That said, Foveon will capture the light thrown at it by a lens "far better" than film does- and the results will be heralded IMHO.
