JB2, my point is that there are an increasing number of households that are making computers a part of their lives. Children use it to do their homework, some people use it for homebanking, managing daily finance etc. At the same time, prices of boxes are falling (taiwanese companies provide price pressures to Dell, Compaq etc.) So increasing families are opting for computing power. In my opinion the set top boxes have yet to take off for that reason. Now talk about convenience and changes the scene. Yesterday, I received the following link from a friend for mobile writing pads that that provide wirless connection to the Internet. If these get priced in the $99 to $129 range then they would come in for increased acceptability (I call it the Internet palmtop).
