sig,,thanks for the great post...

concur fully with dell patterns, channel trades for months prior to leg up...but this time it may be overshadowed and held down in the range not due to natural ebb and flow but because of what you state as "analysts gloom and doom"..............where did this gloom and doom come from?..........gerstner/platt/pfeiffer....who are they...ibm/hwp/cpq....what are they...major pc manufacturers....why do analyst listen......all much larger than dell......so the "perceived score" in the "opinion game of pc future" is "big boys" 3, "mikey" 1......took the bloom off of the dell yellow rose.....which has nothing to do with reality...

own a lot of dell...thinking of selling a bit.....why? because of opportunity....look at the tremendous leverage you can get with 0117.5 @23 or 0120 @ 21.5.......i'm normally not a leap call buyer, unless a special opportunity exists, this is about as special as it can get.....ideal if you intend to exercise......

Yer right

Dell is like those big cats we see featured on PBS. Like DELL, they can run like hell for a while, but stop for a nap in the shade for a while too. Also, one never knows when they will run again, but, unless they're dead, we know they will. Dell isn't dead and Dell will run again! The only question is when.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. Long Dell, 20 cent cost base, 1990.

GOODMORNING ------ Question to all?
I still believe Dell has to open new channels
before the stock moves again, we need a big anouncement
that changes the current direction of the doom and gloom folks.
Question.
I received yesterday the new issue of Computer Shopper
I did see plenty of adds for Dell but not one for
Gigabuys.com. Can anyone here tell me why Dell is not promoting
Gigabuys as for example Egghead and Priceline and CDW etc.
How will people who do not own Dell's find out about the site
this way.?
TIA
Lenny

>>Dells recent action has caused me to look back at Dells history.<<

Sig, that was a nice piece of work and I am sure we all appreciate you time and research. Analysts seem to have a way of playing their games of gloom and doom. The perception is that Dell's forward revenue picture is clouded or threatened by falling computer prices and
competition from the band of newbies with their invasion free computer crap as an attempt to win subscribers to the internet. Dell is perceived to earn its revenue stream primarily on the sales of computers and is becoming more of a commodity issue where as IBM and now HWP have other sources to grow their revenue. Like Edamo I would like Michael Dell to play the game of PT Barnum and get the crowd into the tents. You got to make a lot of noise for your vehicle to be heard in a sea of traffic. That is why everybody hears the tractor trailer when its driver sounds blasts from its big rigs.

Sig,
Hi!!!

First let me once again says thanks for the incredible memory you have...the summary you just posted is worth the price of a few thousand shares of DELL... :o) Those that don't find DELL as attractive had better read between the lines of your message...surely, I should not care to even guess at where this company will be in a few months or years...I only view the growth of DELL in terms of constant earnings growth ....a management that is the envy of the corporate world...and people one can trust...
In your post you allude to "the fat lady singing"....well, I only cheat off the smart guys...Know many many many things are in the works at DELL...can't find all the pieces of the puzzle(s) ...yet, I know to be patient...DELL has never let me down in the past...I remember many of those periods you just referred to...Patience will be once again used....being patient in the past has always proved the best course of action...I just wish I had more money...I'd BUY DELL here fast...

Best, Kemble

Sig, i'm with you...agree 100%...i must ask all the scare-dee-cats out there to use their common sense, intelligence and intuition on this question of "where is dell's stock price going"...unless you are on full margin, which you should NEVER be in a market like this, does it really matter if dell's price falls to the low 30s before it starts it's move on to new highs? The answer is NO...

IF the stock does hit 30, it will be BECAUSE OF THE ANALYSTS, not because of anything fundamentally wrong with dell or the pc industry...these guys are human too...they are missing the boat here, imo, and come to think of it, i believe they have missed the dell train for YEARS too.

JIM KELLEY - i think you are worrying for nothing...but, like i am saying, who cares if it dips...keep some cash handy to buy more...and watch the fundamentals meanwhile...NOTHING has changed...

...but something will change soon, i feel, for the BETTER...for dell and its s/hs...

i think everyone needs to RELAX...this thread is starting to remind me of BEATING A DEAD HORSE...

cheers, GR
