Margins calls on Monday?

I've got two full-service accounts (ie, a broker who knows me by name) in addition to my online account, and both of my broker friends indicated that there are a LOT of margin calls to be made on monday, focused almost entirely in the internut sector.

Downward spiral here we come? With AMZN down over 40 percent in the last month, i suppose it was just a matter of time until the margin caught up with those who were overextended.

Also brings up an important point of investor psychology- people tend to buy stocks that are going up, but they don't usually like to sell them. They USUALLY only sell once the pain becomes to great.

Apparently buying the bottom and selling the top just isnt possible for the vast majority of investors, due to psychological tendancies. (we're talking about the subset of investors who actually have the positions that would allow them to sell the top)

(ie, William) :)
