The gurus keep telling us how important is the subject of "trader psychology," even though these very same gurus don't appear to be traders or psychologists. I just can't imagine Tony Robbins sitting in a room at his home daytrading. Conceding, however, that the subject is, indeed, important and relevant, let me just say that I found the book "Trading for a Living" by Dr. Alexander Elder to be particularly helpful. I've read it three times and highly recommend it to anyone who's even thinking about trading. Unlike Robin Dayne's seminars, Dr. Elder's book contains absolutely no psycho-babble mumbo jumbo. And his credentials are clearly outlined. And speaking of our Russian friends (Dr. Alexander is a Russian emigrant), I might point out that I recently received an advance pre-publication copy of a book presently being written by a trader I know who is also a Russian emigrant. I've known him for two years, traded with him in various internet chatrooms, learned a lot from watching him. He is good. He doesn't know I'm mentioning him here, but I will say for those interested that his chatroom name is "Threei." Many daytraders know him. The book is short but very enlightening and comes from someone who I know actually daytrades everyday and earns a good living at it, small and very exclusive group of people. The book should be available in a week or two and I'll post info on it here at that time. There are also very good books on the subject by Michael Turner and many other experienced and successful daytraders, many good websites, too. The point here is that there is good daytrading info available. And it definitely doesn't cost $5,000 and a week's travel expenses. Bill
