Nope, most of the people here are longs and look at the consistent 35% plus growth in earnings and projected continued growth into 2001. The head & shoulders we focus on belong to Ruetgers, the CEO, who has the company in good shape. Those looking for bears and Class 1 sells etc. could go to the MDA thread and chat with you. I for one gave that thread up when the big bad bear they've been looking for each month since November kept going back into hibernation. I think the bear got tired from all the flip-flopping going on and just went back to sleep.

Sorry, but not too many technicians in these parts. Just us folks focusing on fundamentals, etc. Even Dennis M. Patterson got bored and moved on. Great company, but the chart just doesn't look good, as I recall. At least that cut down on the number of post to sort through <ggg>.

But, I agree that EMC does look dangerous. Just ask IBM and HWP and they might agree with both of us.

Although I am long EMC (from 98) the chart is not too pretty. Stock is under distribution. However, with a split coming up, I think it will be difficult to anticipate its moves.

I have been looking for some short plays and I think there are some better possibilities (BWDIK) - MACD just turned over on IBM, also C, BSC, MER look vulnerable.

bobby,

short at your own risk ... i wouldn't short this stock. of course, if you do and the stock rises, that's great for us LT shareholders. you'll be running to cover.
