Didja ever try freezing your bananas? I learned to do that when they are getting a little too brown, they freeze well and make great smoothies. Just wrap them in plastic wrap. I like the frozen fresh strawberries in smoothies, too.

Hi Joan,
THese are my sons' favorite breakfast or afterschool snacks! Exactly that recipe, except we often use strawberries which I freeze in little packs while they're in season, blueberries being more expensive. Ammo likes it made with vanilla yogurt sometimes- he has a sweet tooth.
And I feel like such a GOOD mother when I make them, they're so healthy. Didn't know that about the fruit yogurt which Ammo eats by the gallon. And here I thought it was a healthy snack; is the vanilla just as bad?
