BAM cc:K1bo,

Surprised to see you here. My main worry on this issue: How long before digital TV tuning functionality belongs to a 0.18 micron-thin stratum of a processor chip bearing a familiar Intel or Lucent logo? Certainly by the time convergence hits the tornado the big boys will want their piece of the pie.

Currently I have a $130 JVC TV sitting adjacent to my PC monitor ready for CNBC multitasking when I so choose, or if I desire to "watch while I wait". I say we don't even go into the tornado until the system goes on a chip adding < $50 to the ASP of the PC. I doubt HAUP has the scope to execute such an endeavor.

What proprietary IP does HAUP possess that the gorillas don't already have?

I don't do much shorting these days, but if I did, this issue would be high up on the short list.

Sam
