Well, I called PEC again. I spoke to one whose name I will withhold for the time being. It seems PEC is or has been, in essence, the laboratory or research part of the voice response technology business, and IVT is or has been the sales and distribution part. It is not altogether clear, however, because IVT's website also states it is the designer, manufacturer and distributor of the products.

At any rate, the person I spoke to didn't know the mechanics of the merger between IVT and VTPI, but acknowledged that IVT and PEC employees were very excited about the recent developments and confident that their technology, which has 13 years of development and placement in the market -- and which also has many cutting edge new developments -- is at the forefront of the voice technology business.

Again, though I couldn't get the mechanics of the merger, the PEC employees and owners are also stockholders of the new company and are very excited. The person I spoke to acknowledged that the merger with VTPI was a streamlined way of going public and expected it all to go very well.

Sorry I couldn't get more specifics yet.
