I predict within 6 months, investors will be suing Amazon for executive misrepresentation of the viability of AMZN. Or some other claim- it doesnt matter because when Amazon is trading at 20 bucks the investors will be screaming bloody murder. (especially those whos bonds havent been able to convert) They will be going after the 2 billion in cash Amazon has in the bank.

Bezos will never get a chance to spend the majority of this money, IMO.

(Glenn, if you wanted to know how AMZN could go bankrupt with all that cash in the bank- the answer is that the cash will be taken away)

You all are reading with blinders on. I said that Amazon is worth less than Barnes and Noble--- two of the three replies compared the internet sites.

There is more to life than an internet site, and much more to a real business, especially a customer-oriented business like booksales.

Thought question:
Do you all think that Barnes and Noble hasn't been collecting information on book-purchasers for years? Do you all think that marketing was invented with the internet?
