Alan, there were a few new things in the 10q. Something that surprised me was the small number of common. I thought this company would be severely diluted by now, but no: <<The number of shares of common stock, $0.01 par value, outstanding as of March 31, 1999: 20,048,000 shares>>. Also, there was an important statement in the 10q about liquidation of equipment: << The Company retains its interest in certain Federal mineral leases and an option on a fee property contiguous to the Federal leases near Tecopa, CA, and also own two tracts of land used as plant sites in Armagosa, NV and Tecopa, CA. As part of its plan to curtail activity at these plants, the Company intends to dispose of certain surplus equipment at these plants. The Company is currently exploring the possibility of exchanging its interest in these mining properties for shares of a newly formed company.>> Seems there is interest in the playa clays.

Alan, something brewing here? There have been strong buys in May that takes the price just to the upper bollinger. Someone may be accumulating and trying to avoid an obvious market signaling breakout, my speculation. The chart is even looking better.
