All this talk about Palms I had to comment. I have no idea about a buy out or even if it's true. All I know is my Palm 3 never leaves home without me.

If there was a buyout it should be Sun Microsystems. I read or heard somewhere an blurb about Palm Pilots and Java (can't remmeber where I heard this, maybe a rumor, been a while).

That would be cool, Palm on Java.

SNIP:
The one clear winner would be running CE too and could then take on Palm. But one clear winner has not emerged. Palm keeps selling its handheld while these wannabes make a mess of the market.

Richard QoS is a policy based software feature that allows you to prioritize traffic. The ability to define a level of performance in a data communications system. For example, ATM networks specify modes of service that ensure optimum performance for traffic such as realtime voice and video. QoS has become a major issue on the Internet as well as in enterprise networks, because voice and video are increasingly travelling over IP-based data networks.
Most vendors are incorporating this in their Policy Based Management platform.
