There was a very negative column in the computer section of the Australian today on the OSX carbon interface. This guy who writes the Mac column there is normally very upbeat. He really didn't like the "NEXT type interface" that he said Jobs was excited about. He said it would take away the Mac's advantage as still the most user-friendly computer. Any opinions on this here?

Go to the seti@home page (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/index.html)) and take a look at the FAQ. They explain why the work units get done faster on some machines than on others.

I downloaded SETI a couple days ago and started playing with it on the new 333Mhz iMac; it's pretty cool. Hope I find an EBE!
