If you don't like it then call your senator and congressman to support gradual faze out of SSI and let us do with the money as we wish. Freedman has a good way to unwind this regressive tax. Yes it is a regressive tax but did any of the Liberals mention that to you?

The liberals ransacked it for the Vietnam War (for which they were unwilling to put a tax to vote) and for the anti-poverty programs. They also passed exorbitant benefits increases in the 70's before the COLAs were enacted, and since then have enacted expansions in the SS and Medicare benefits and beneficiary classes without regard to solvency of the trust funds.
